Hi, I'm Patanjali

I help individuals, teams, businesses and organisations to remain relevant, contextual and vibrant. While authentic dialogue and deep conversations leading to exploration and discovery form core of my work, variety of tools and processes are deployed to meet the desired end.

How do I do it?

By provoking thought through invigorating simulations and meaningful conversations. Tools and processes like Cultural Transformation, Appreciative Inquiry, Sensitivity Training, Positive Psychology, Organisation Life Cycle, Systemic Consulting, NLP, Creative Action Methods, Psychometrics, Coaching, Yoga and Meditations skilfully blended with Embodied Learning simulations are all part of my repertoire.

My learning journey

A reasonably long stint of 22 years in the Army provided me with exposure to line & staff functions and various leadership paradigms.
A number of instructional assignments for over eight years taught me instructional design and delivery. A short inning with an NGO at Sri Lanka opened up newer horizons for me.

My association with the Pegasus Academy and Consulting of seven years helped me in honing skills at implementing interventions based on experiential learning processes. Working with over 150 organisations from diverse industries and a few thousand participants over the last 3 plus years has been incredibly enriching. Some of them are as follows.

Has life been all work and no play?

Windsurfing at Tso Moriri lake at 4595 m in bone-chilling waters have helped me experience the thrill of doing things never done before.

Long hours spent paddling rigorously in a thin scull have taught me to deal with paradox of speed and balance.

Trimming a sailing boat in the Arabian Sea in the dead of the night seem to have brought in the significance of reading winds of change in good time.

Over a decade of yoga practices and meditation might have brought in some centring.

Various solo biking trips in the Himalayas covering over 10,000 kilometers and over 100 km of trekking in the mountains was helpful in discovering self and finding meaning. I sometimes wonder which of these would qualify as ‘work’ or ‘play’!

What do I bring to the table?

Deep diagnostics through use of internationally renowned and tested tools like Barrett Values/Competing Values Frameworks, Force Field Analysis etc, cross-validated with Corporate Life Cycle concepts, co-creative approach to intervention design and proposing lifecycle approach to interventions to cover entire learning/transformation spectrum based on 10-20-70 principle are hallmarks of the Individual or Organisational Change initiatives that we deliver.
